Portraits of Reine Jensen

My friend Reine wanted some photos of herself that were a step up from the standard consumer digital camera. I ducked out early from a stressful day at work, we met up and wandered around downtown Vancouver. These are the results.
I enjoy shooting my friends for a number of reasons; It’s easier taking photographs of someone you know, it makes them happy, and I want good photos of everyone I know. I have an excellent memory for details but I can’t picture anyone’s face (including my parents) when I’m alone. I use photos to fill this blank space in my head.
I tried new processing techniques with these photos and I’m enjoying how they turned out. This set marks my switch over to shooting in RAW. I should have been doing it for a while, but I’m stubborn sometimes.
